On behalf of the organizing committee of the 11th congress of the World Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery, it is a great pleasure to invite you to our next congress that will take place in Cancun, Mexico, from June 1 to 4, 2022.As you all know, we postponed our original meeting for a year due to the global impact of the COVID19 pandemic. However, we are very optimistic that this situation will continue to improve throughout this year, and we will be able to host our meeting in June 2022 safely for all attendees

Our bi-annual congress is the most important scientific event at the international level, and for this reason, we are putting all our effort to organize a special meeting, with the participation of the majority of microsurgeons from all corners of the world.

We are aware that previous WSRM conferences have set high standards that must be continued and improved, and therefore we are delighted to work very hard to develop a first-class scientific program and present cutting-edge science and practice that will allow WSRM members and colleagues to return to their countries with relevant information. Besides embracing new technology and innovations, we will focus on investing in the future generation of reconstructive microsurgeons by engaging residents and young microsurgeons globally.  Some other highlights include social networks’ role in our practice, women in microsurgery, multiple practical skills competitions, and oral and poster presentations.

Cancun is one of the world’s leading tourist destinations with easy access and an experienced venue for world-class congresses.

Our congress will take place at the Cancun International Convention Center, a modern and compact building by the sea, centrally located in Cancun, a short walking distance from the central hotel district. The venue will comfortably house WSRM requirements under one roof, with ample meeting and exhibition space close to each other.

We are pleased to inform you that we are well advanced in all preparations for our next congress, including the COVID19 safety guidelines that may be required as the meeting approaches.
